Why isn’t this child/teen more independent?

Attachment has given natural history wholeness again because, it draws from Anthropology (study of families and social life), Psychology (study of human development), and Biology (study of the body’s design) to explain TRAUMA pathways for healing.

How can I better understand the suffering of this child/teen?

Attachment is the most comprehensive framework for understanding EMOTIONAL GROWTH, effectively knitting back together pieces like; temperament, adaptation, & motivation, which have been disconnected areas of scientific study, unfortunately taken out of real-life context.

What is missing for this child/teen to be more mature?

Attachment can “pay dividends” on the old banking model of CLASSROOM LEARNING when we drop the focus on cash and move kids to relational understandings of; stakeholders, stockholders, shareholders, and partners.

What exactly should classroom teaching and learning produce?

Attachment maps the journey of SELF-IDENTITY from ancestral stories, to brain architecture, to intersections of developmental, emotional, and relational timelines, as we grow and age.
Why is this child/teen always a follower and never a leader?
Attachment has profoundly changed how we understand SENSORY PERCEPTION, since early life is a “sensitive period” for relational & emotional, learning-related brain plasticity.
Why does this child/teen have big emotions, yet no feelings of responsibility?
Attachment brought emotions back into view, after decades of cognitive- behavioral methods, simply because the keys to MENTAL WELLNESS have always been to meet the emotional needs of children & teens by using the protective quality of relationships and pull kids close to us.
When this child/teen “tunes out”, how can I get them to “tune in”?
Attachment is much more than a theory. Attachment is a way of thinking, seeing, listening, and taking action to develop RELATIONAL CAPACITY, so kids will expand the capacity of adults, just as adults expand the capacity of children & teens.
I want to get better at handling child/teen melt-downs and blow-ups!
Attachment is real life, so when we slow down to observe DEVELOPMENTAL READINESS, we are effectively witnessing kids’ everyday frustrations to explore, communicate, and seek connection.
Can we set goals for a child/teen’s Emotional Development and maturity?
Attachment is the paradigm shift schools need to move from the Official Task (teaching & learning), to influence the Existential Task (emotions & behavior) and fully activate the PRACTICES & PATTERNS of an Emotion-focused approach.
How does this Emotion-focused approach change child/teen chronic misbehavior?
Our tools are Relational ways of; talking, thinking, listening, looking, and acting. We can use an Emotion-focused framework to construct relational bridges to support kids on their journey of development. Emotions, Relationships, & Development are the central dynamic working parts of Emotional Development!
How do I begin using the WolfeWisdom framework?
Child and Youth Mental Health is the challenge of our time. Yet, Best Practices in schools do not come from research alone, the wisdom of practitioners is crucial. The school culture we design needs to hold the weight of consequential themes like; Emotional growth, Self-Identity, and Social Conscience. This is the triad of Emotional Development!
How can a whole school activate the WolfeWisdom framework?
Attachment is the optimal organizer of a complete view of BELONGING,
which orbits in relational contexts, acting to restrain and release Emotional Development.
